Bill would update laws to reflect samesex marriage rights

Andy Josephson said the U.S. Supreme Court decision legalizing same-sex marriage is not reflected in state laws. He says there’s a housekeeping nature to proposed changes in the bill. But he says the changes would have a significant effect in recognizing the rights of same-sex couples in the state.The bill, HB 342, touches on a range of areas including adoption, divorce and property rights.last_img
